SMUGGLED GOODS SEIZED IN THE BUS AT KAKAVIJA CUSTOMS HOUSE

On 27th of August 2017, the structures of the Directorate of Investigation at the General Directorate of Customs in cooperation with the Anti-Smuggling Unit and the customs officers of the Kakavija Customs House, as a result of a careful risk analysis, it was successfully completed the operation "OLD BOYS" where a smuggling case was found with various commodities as follows:

• Jeans for grown up people 1.145 pieces;
• Hair cream 1000 ml, 36 pieces;
• Hair mask 500 ml, 74 pieces;
• Acetone for Nails 1000ml, 23 pieces;
• Face mask 150 ml, 32 pieces;
• Face mask 1000 ml, 24 pieces;
• Hair cream 80 ml, 23 pieces;
• Depilation wax 400 ml, 30 pieces;
•  HDMI Modulator, 20 pieces;
• Digital decoder AJ DVB-93+ , 20 pieces.

The citizens D.M. and E.XH. who were the drives of the bus of Athens - Tirana line with the plates AA678NM, did not declare the goods in the luggagge after entering Kakavija Customs Jouse at 02:00 hrs on 27.08.2017 did not carry out the declaration of goods which were in the its baggage.

The vehicle was controlled by customs structures where undeclared goods were found, so it was committed the criminal offense of "Smuggling of other goods".

Drivers of the vehicle, citizens D.M. and E.XH. were arrested in flagrance. The vehicle and goods were seized and the materials were referred to the Gjirokastra Prosecution Office for the criminal offense of "Smuggling of other goods".
