Director General Presents the New Head of the Saranda Customs Branch

Tirana, 03.04.2026 – The Director General of Customs, Mr. Besmir Beja, introduced the new Head of the Saranda Customs Branch, Ervis Mehmeti.

During the presentation, he emphasized the importance of further strengthening operations at this customs point, noting that Mr. Mehmeti’s previous experience in the customs administration provides a solid foundation for fulfilling his duties.

In communication with staff, he called for continuity in work standards, adherence to procedures, and close cooperation among structures, with the aim of ensuring efficient and functional service.

He also appreciated the contribution of the former head, Eleron Gjoni, for his work and commitment during his tenure.

During the visit, a meeting was also held with branch staff, where discussions focused on work progress and the organization of respective structures.

The Director General of Customs continues on-site monitoring of the work of customs structures, calling for improved service to citizens and businesses, making it more efficient and transparent.

The Customs Administration remains focused on consolidating work standards and continuously improving processes, in order to enhance service quality and public trust.
