Director General of Customs Visits the Kakavija Customs Branch

Tirana, 04.04.2026 – The Director General of Customs, Besmir Beja, conducted a working visit to the Kakavija Customs Branch, within the framework of direct monitoring of the functioning of field structures and further strengthening of service standards.

During the visit, the Director General closely reviewed the progress of customs procedures, the management of passenger and goods flows, as well as the measures taken to ensure security and facilitate movement at this important border crossing point. He emphasized the importance of increasing operational efficiency and continuously improving the quality of service for citizens and businesses.

In meetings with staff, discussions focused on daily operational challenges, as well as the need to strengthen interinstitutional cooperation in order to prevent illegal activities and increase transparency.
